ICEA plans a program for prospective International students in July 2013

The International Cultural-Educational Association (ICEA) announces a program for:
prospective students and their parents, young professionals who wish to improve their qualifications, representatives of educational institutions, administrators of private schools, and managers of educational businesses.

The program is planned for July 21st through 30th , 2013, and will involve visiting the following locations consecutively:
New York City,
Boston, Massachusetts, and
Chicago, Illinois.


Participants in the program will be familiarized with:
conditions and procedures for admission and accommodation of foreign students in American educational institutions, useful information about professional organizations, and organizations who work with foreign students. 

The program will include visiting the following educational institutions:
Columbia University in New York City,
Boston and Harvard Universities, in Massachusetts,
University of Chicago and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Illinois.

Participants will learn about:
Necessary preparations for studying in the United States, including language training and entrance tests, opportunities and requirements for post-graduate education, opportunities for professional advancement through specialty training, and American history and culture.

ICEA hosted Rockford (Illinois, USA) and Brovary (Kiev, Ukraine) Sister Cities Program in May 2012

The International Cultural-Educational Association (ICEA) in partnership with the Association of Ukrainian Cities (www.auc.org.ua/en) hosted a group of municipal leaders and business owners, from the city of Brovary (Kiev region) participated in a program conducted in the Chicago area and Rockford, Illinois and New York during May 12 –19, 2012.

The program provided presentations and meetings hosted by collaborating organizations, including the Mayor’s office, Rockford College and Sister City Committee, which provided opportunities to network and develop new business relationships.

The objectives of our program were to introduce members of the Ukrainian delegation to recreational facilities and educational institutions for young people and new initiatives in the Sister Cities International Program.

This group was interested in revitalizing the long standing but dormant relationship between Brovary and Rockford as sister cities. They also discussed about a cultural exchange program between the two communities. Members of Ukrainian delegation are Mayor of Brovary city, Kiev region – Igor Sapozhko, his wife Maryna Sapozhko and doghter Diana;
Brovary city councilman – Andrii Krat and Igor Troshchenko, his wife Olga Troshchenko and son Vyacheslav.

We are very grateful to the Rockford community leaders for meeting with the delegation from the Brovary, Ukraine and arranging presentations and tours.
